The role purpose of a Sales Representative, is to promote and sell pharmaceutical products to HCP via all required channels and with appropriate activities. Their primary goal is to increase product awareness, secure product prescriptions, and drive sales within an assigned territory. Pharmaceutical Representatives are responsible for building and maintaining relationships with healthcare professionals, providing product information, conducting product presentations, monitoring competitor activities, and achieving sales targets. They play a crucial role in educating healthcare professionals about the benefits of specific medications and ensuring the safe and effective use of pharmaceutical products.

Main Tasks:

  • Promotion of the product and services to psychiatrists
  • New customer acquisition: identifying and contacting new customers and initiating the sales process
  • Maintaining and expanding existing customer relationships
  • Analyzing and evaluating customer needs and providing active and individual customer support and advice
  • Independently evaluate the economic value and potential of customers
  • Customer and visit individual target setting
  • Factual and practical implementation of defined product strategies and tactics
  • Responsibility for achieving the agreed quantitative and qualitative targets in the sales territory
  • Continuous market and competition monitoring, communication/knowledge transfer to internal sales (e.g. sales and product management)
  • Analysis of sales figures in the territory and based on sales blocks (IQVIA regional data) and derivation of measures.
  • Independent, efficient route planning in the sales territory.
  • Initiation, organization and support of regional physician trainings in cooperation with product management and customers.
  • Co-supervision of regional and national congresses
  • Periodic presentation and reporting of area activities (incl. short- and medium-term activity planning)
  • Daily reporting of visits in the CRM system and data maintenance according to specifications

Skills & Competencies:

  • Natural science or paramedical training
  • Ability to convert medical-scientific correlations and findings into individual customer benefits and to sell accordingly
  • Broad interests (indications as well as general aspects of health care)
  • Ideally, experience in pharmaceutical sales force in specialty care (prescription preparations; not OTC), preferably in psychiatry
  • Strong communication/sales flair and good negotiation skills (commercial understanding of the role)
  • Ability and willingness to respond to individual customer needs and become a preferred, exciting and reliable interlocutor
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills ('multi-channel capability & agility')
  • Structured, strategic and goal-oriented approach to work / independence
  • Perseverance; will to achieve sustainable success (keyword: frustration tolerance)
  • Ability to work in a team / pragmatism and flexibility in finding solutions

  • German. Good knowledge of English (esp. written), knowledge of French a plus
